Friends, when we start to pay per post on facebook, what happens next?
It was reported by your Jewish news that Facebook is testing a "pay to be popular" option in New Zealand so users can get noticed by their friends
The social network is currently offering some users a $2 "highlight" feature to ensure their posts are seen by more people.
It's one of several money-making drives being testing ahead of Facebook's listing on the stockmarket.
Recent figures have shown that only 12 per cent of users' Facebook friends see an average status update.
The highlight feature will let users pay to have posts appear to more friends.
As well as being tested with some users in New Zealand, a free version is also being trialled to gauge users' interest.
Facebook said it was constantly testing new features.
What's your view about this?
