According to Sahara Reporters, the governor's residence within the sprawling Government house in
Kaduna state is engulfed in flame.
Firefighters have been called in to put off the massive fire. The cause of the fire is unknown as at this time.
Kaduna state governor's spokesperson, Reuben Buhari, has
confirmed that the private office space of Governor Ibrahim Yakowa's
residence was gutted by an early morning fire. Buhari stated that the
fire which was caused by electric power surge, started around 9: 30 AM
Nigerian time.
He said no injuries were recorded and that the fire has been put out completely by firefighters.
