It was reported by a witness, that the suspected Nigerian Islamists Boko Haram Sect, set off bombs and opened fire at a market in Maiduguri on Monday, killing not less than 30 people.
A Trader said "Gunmen suspected to be members of the Islamist sect stormed
the market and opened fire indiscriminately," that "women and children were among the dead."
Another witness also said that “The gunmen just opened fire killing people. I saw three military
vans piled with bodies leaving the market and there were explosions
after the shooting,”
The military confirmed the assault on the market but denied any
civilian deaths, saying security forces had killed eight assailants and
safely detonated bombs planted by the attackers.
...I am wondering when this menace will stop...
