Yoruba Actor beaten to stupor, hospitalised

Ibrahim Chatta, popular Yoruba actor, producer and director, was over the weekend terribly beaten at the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos, by film pirates, who were selling copies of the producer's films.

It was gathered that, the top producer had been on his way to an event when he was spotted by the pirates who thought he was coming to arrests them again due to the previous arrest made earlier few weeks ago.

Chatta lost consciousness during the assault and was fortunately rescued from near death by mobile policemen who were around the area at the time. He's currently receiving treatment at the hospital. No arrest has so far been made.
