A bomb seemed to have been targeted at children of police officers in a police barracks, in Kaduna State was successfully detonated by a police anti-bomb unit.
Learnt that the children at the Police Barracks were already playing with the explosive before they knew what it was.
The police officer in charge in the state, Aminu Lawan, confirmed that the situation was brought to the attention of security forces and the anti-bomb unit rushed into action and experts removed the explosive, which is “scientific” in nature, and was enclosed in a polythene bag."
