Supreme Court fires Yar'adua's Son-In-Law As Governor of Kebbi State

The Supreme Court has upheld the decision of the election tribunal in Kebbi which nullified the election of the governor of the state , Saidu Usman Dakingari in November 2011.

The Justice in Charge leading other justices stated that the Appeals Court erred in law when it deferred the reasons on its judgement to outside the 60 days allowed by the constitution of Nigeria.

The court thereafter ordered INEC to conduct fresh election in the state within 90 days.
