The
story behind a photograph showing a black child 5 years of age,
touching the hair of President Obama may be coming to your inbox soon.
An adorable photo, which has been hung in the West Wing of the White House for over three years on Thursday, and has quickly become the item most emailed.
In
May 2009, the child, Jacob Philadelphia, was visiting the White House
with his father, a former Marine who was leaving his 2 year tenure
working for the National Security Council
staff as part of the White House. The father asked him to take a family
photo with the president. Jacob said he had a question for Obama, who
was then in his fifth month in office.
"I want to know if my hair feels like yours," the boy asked so softly that the president asked him to speak again.
Jacob did, and Obama responded: "Why not touch it and see for yourself?" He lowered his head at the level of Jacob, who hesitated.
"Touch it, dude!" Obama said. When Jacob patted the presidential crown Souza broke.
"So what do you think?" Obama asked.
"Yes, it feels the same," said Jacob, according to your Jewish news.
