A man is accused of killing a 14-year-old girl because he believed he
got her pregnant after having a sexual relationship with her.
Christian Ferdinand was arrested after the murder of Shaniesha Forbes.
The naked body of Forbes was found on the beach, and an autopsy revealed
that his fears were unfounded, as the girl was not pregnant. Ferdinand,
who is 20-years-old, is accused of smothering 14-year-old Forbes to
death. He then placed her body in a suitcase and set it on fire on a
Brooklyn, New York beach.
Ferdinand allegedly told detectives he killed the girl after she told
him she was pregnant with his child, but she refused to get an abortion.
It turned out that the teenager was not pregnant, the medical examiner
confirmed, leaving the shattered family brokenhearted over the senseless
killing.
"He had the nerve and balls to kill her, but he could not go to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test to see if it was true?" Her cousin Kerri Ann Thomas, 25, said.
Ferdinand allegedly told police he met Shaniesha on Facebook and began a sexual relationship with her.

“The man should be locked up for a long time. He is a danger to society. First he had unprotected sex with an underage girl, then when he thought he got her pregnant. he demanded that she kill her unborn child, when she refused to do so he took her life!” Jazmin Maxwell, 40, of Queens, New York told YourJewishNews.com after learning about the horrific murder.
The girl's mother, Sandra Price, 40, said she was aware that her daughter was dating, but she had no idea that she was involved with a 20-year-old man. She said she would have stopped it immediately.
