Tuface and Annie at the event |
For those who are still doubting the news that Tuface Idibia has
fianlly propsed marriage to Annie Macaulay, what happened last Friday,
at Silberbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos, remained an eye-opener
to them.
The R&B star was one of the important guests that graced the
Lagos premiere of “I’ll Take my Chance” , a dance movie produced by
Emem Isong and Ini Edo, held at Silverbird Cinema hall.
Tuface stormed the event venue accompanied by the latest fiance in
town, Annie Macaulay. The premiere was a superlative assemblage of stars
from the movie as well as the music industry.
While Tuface was dressed in a casual ash-coloured chinos upon black
shirt with a designer’s cap and a pair of canvass to match, his
fiance,Annie wore a sleeveless black gown upon a golden purse and shoes
to the admiration of the cheering army of celebrities who graced the
event.
As soon as Tuface and Annie arrived the venue, the event was
abruptly brought to a standstill . “Shouts of Tuface Baba” rented the
air, as the guests mostly celebrities scrabbled to embrace the latest
lovebirds in town.
In fact, the organisers had to usher them in through a back entrance and whisked them upstairs to the cinema screening room.
The outing indeed was a reaffirmation of Tuface’s resolve to spend
the rest of his life with Annie. It was the first time, the Benue
State-born crooner and Annie would confidently attend a social
gathering together, after the former proposed to the latter on Valentine
Day celebration to the surprise of their teeming fans.
Annie is Tuface’s long standing sweetheart and mother to one of his five children.
Meanwhile, the premiere went down as the biggest gathering of stars
from the entertainment in recent times. The roll call included Paul
Okoye of P-Square fame with his manager/brother Jude ‘Engees’ Okoye,
Rugged Man, Faze, Slam (who did the musical score for the film) all
mingled with Nollywood stars like Monalisa Chinda,Chioma
Chukwuka-Akpotha, Uche Jombo, Susan Peters, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Mahmoud
Alli-Balogun, Segun Arinze, Kunle Afolayan and of course, the producers
of the film, Emem Isong and Ini Edo.
Also present were Desmond Elliot who directed the movie, lead actor
Bryan Okwara including two Big Brother winners, Uti Nwachukwu and
Karen Igho and Dakore-Egbuson-Akande who is rarely seen adorning the
red-carpet these days, especially since she had her baby girl. Her
appearance was a pleasant surprise as was the arrival of newly wedded
Mercy Johnson and Nollywood ‘Bad Boy’ Jim Iyke.
